
Kent State Hosts Ball State Sunday in National TV Game on CBS Sports Networks

Kent State will host Ball State at the M.A.C. Center on Sunday at noon for a Mid-American Conference women's basketball contest that will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
The Golden Flashes (9-11, 4-5 MAC) had their four-game winning streak ended on Wednesday with a 59-53 setback at Toledo. Kent State led by as many as six points during the fourth quarter but missed its final five shots as the Rockets closed with an 11-2 run. Riley Rismiller led in the scoring column with 13 points and Anna Campanelli was right behind with 12.
Junior Mya Babbitt is the fourth leading scorer in the MAC at 15.9 points per game and has two of the top six single-game scoring performances in the league. Babbitt is second in the conference with 44 three-point field goals. Juniors Riley Rismiller (8.8 ppg) and Tatiana Thomas (7.4 ppg) provide low post options. Rismiller has three double-doubles and ranks ninth in the MAC in rebounding with 6.0 per game, while Thomas is grabbing 6.5 boards per conference contest. Senior Dionna Gray (5.5 ppg) is fourth in the MAC in assists with 5.2 per game.
Scouting Ball State
The Cardinals (16-5, 8-1 MAC) bounced back from their first conference loss last Saturday with a 76-70 road victory over Central Michigan on Wednesday. Ball State leads the MAC in scoring (77.0 ppg), field goal percentage defense (.368), rebounding margin (+10.5) and assists per game (18.4).
Bree Salenbien (14.9 ppg, 8.2 rpg) and Tessa Towers (13.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg) have six double-doubles each and give the Cardinals one of the top interior duos in the conference. Grace Kingery (12.1 ppg) is the MAC leader with 52 three-point field goals and Karsyn Norman (9.5 ppg) has a 1.75 assist-to-turnover ratio to rank second in the league.
