Kent, OHIO - The Kent State Lacrosse team returns home for their second home game of the season as they will take on The Butler Bulldogs on Saturday at Dix Stadium. The game is set to begin at 1 P.M.
Last Time Out
The Kent State Lacrosse team put up a valiant effort in a 9-5 loss to an ACC opponent in Louisville on the road Wednesday. The Golden Flashes greatly improved upon a 14-goal loss to the same team a year ago.
KSU started the scoring off with two quick goals in the first four minutes of the game from seniors Zayda Crumpton and Meghan Haddow to get out to a 2-0 lead. After a Louisville goal, the blue and gold scored one more before the end of the quarter from Morgan Halli to give Kent State a 3-1 lead.Â
The Cardinals would score three of the next four goals through the end of the first quarter and the second quarter to bring the score to 4-4 heading into the halftime break. The strong defensive effort from the Golden Flashes continued into the second half as they gave up five goals with just one given up in the fourth quarter.
Crumpton led the Flashes in points with three as she scored a goal and dished out two assists. Lundeen also finished with a goal and an assist. Haddow, Eva Anderson and Morgan Halli also got on the scoring sheet with a goal each for KSU.
