
Flashes Lacrosse Drops Final Non-Conference Game On The Road At Ohio State

Columbus, OHIO - The Golden Flashes dropped their final non-conference game of the season to the Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten on Wednesday by a score of 17-6 at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
The Buckeyes scored first, but Kent State answered quickly in the first quarter after the Buckeyes started off with a quick goal. Senior Zayda Crumpton found junior Morgan Halli to score in transition for the first goal of the game for the Flashes.Â
KSU scored again in the first quarter on a goal from junior Eva Anderson while the team scored one more goal in the second quarter to bring the score to 8-3 heading into the halftime break.
The blue and gold did not score any goals in the third quarter, but tied the Buckeyes in the fourth with a three-to-three period. The two teams alternated goals throughout the period as senior Zayda Crumpton scored the first one for the Flashes.
Emily Bond, Halieigh Greenberg and Peyton Gellin were goal scorers for KSU as well in their trip to Columbus. Halli, Crumpton, and Lizzie Lundeen contributed assists for the Golden Flashes as well.
Crumpton was impressive at the draw circle for Kent State as she finished with five draw controls. Freshman Bella White also recorded four draw controls as she picked up a pair of ground balls as well. Junior goalkeeper Sydney Davis impressively recorded another 13 saves through four quarters of play.

The Flashes(7-8; 2-3) will now get ready for their final home game of the season against the Central Michigan Chippewas. The penultimate Mid-American conference game for the blue and gold will begin at 1 P.M. on Saturday at Dix Stadium.
