
Kent State Lacrosse To Face Central Michigan In Final Home Game Of The Season

Kent, OHIO- The Golden Flashes match-up against the Central Michigan Chippewas in a pivotal Mid-American Conference contest on Saturday. The first draw at Dix Stadium is set for 1 P.M.
Last Time Out
The Golden Flashes dropped their final non-conference game of the season to the Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten on Wednesday by a score of 17-6 at Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
The Buckeyes scored first, but Kent State answered quickly in the first quarter after the Buckeyes started off with a quick goal. Senior Zayda Crumpton found junior Morgan Halli to score in transition for the first goal of the game for the Flashes.Â
KSU scored again in the first quarter on a goal from junior Eva Anderson while the team scored one more goal in the second quarter to bring the score to 8-3 heading into the halftime break.
The blue and gold did not score any goals in the third quarter, but tied the Buckeyes in the fourth with a three-to-three period. The two teams alternated goals throughout the period as senior Zayda Crumpton scored the first one for the Flashes.
Emily Bond, Halieigh Greenberg and Peyton Gellin were goal scorers for KSU as well in their trip to Columbus. Halli, Crumpton, and Lizzie Lundeen contributed assists for the Golden Flashes as well.
Crumpton was impressive at the draw circle for Kent State as she finished with five draw controls. Freshman Bella White also recorded four draw controls as she picked up a pair of ground balls as well. Junior goalkeeper Sydney Davis impressively recorded another 13 saves through four quarters of play.
Scouting Central Michigan
The Chippewas come in with a 3-11 overall record but identical conference record as the Flashes at 2-3. They also have eight common opponents with the blue and gold while they most recently defeated Youngstown State on the road last week by a score of 7-6.
Junior attacker Anna Farrar leads the team in goals this season with 20 to go along with three assists. Leading the team in points and assists is freshman Mia Bradley who has 26 points off of 12 goals and a team-leading 14 assists. Sophomore Caye Kalbacker has also contributed 15 goals and nine assists this season.
On the defensive end, Central Michigan is led by junior Ava Regitz who has 21 caused turnovers this season which is tied for fifth in the MAC. She also leads the team in ground balls with 25 which is good for third in the conference. Starting in net for the Chippewas will be Leila Kahler who is third in the conference with 120 saves this season.Â
Series History
Saturday's meeting will be the 11th all-time between KSU and CMU as the Chippewas currently hold the lead in the series by a count of 7-3. However, the Golden Flashes have won the last two meetings in 2024 and 2025, including last year's game by one goal.

After the final home game of the season for Kent State, the Flashes will play their final game of the season in the northeast. They will take on the University of Massachusetts, who is playing in the MAC for the first time this season and currently leading the conference. That game will be next Saturday at noon.
