Lacrosse Finishes Three-Game Road Trip Against Saint Francis (Pa.)

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State Lacrosse team (0-7) will travel to Loretto, Pennsylvania this Wednesday to take on the Saint Francis (Pa.) Red Flash (2-4).
This is the third and final game of the Golden Flashes three-game road trip. In the first contest, Kent State lost to No. 12 Michigan, and in the second game, the Flashes fell to Detroit Mercy 16-12.
Megan Kozar scored a program-record seven goals in the last contest against Detroit Mercy, bringing her season total to a team-high 14. Abby Jones and Lluna Katz also lead Kent State in goals. Katz has scored 12 this season, while Jones has scored 10.
Team captain Grace Merrill increased her save total to 84 for the season. Merrill is fifth in the nation, averaging 12 saves per contest. Her 84 saves rank 14th in the country.
Scouting Saint Francis (Pa.)
In their most recent contest, the Red Flash defeated Longwood 10-9 at its home opener. Saint Francis (Pa.) is led in goals by Morgan Day (14), Emileigh Scott (11) and Livia Baker (10).
Ashley Stoessel leads the Red Flash with 14 ground balls, while Peyton LeConte leads in caused turnovers (13).

Kent State will return home to Dix Stadium on Friday, March 22 to take on Gardner-Webb at 3 p.m. The Flashes will then travel to Coastal Carolina for its first ASUN conference matchup. The Flashes' lacrosse team are the only team at Kent State not in the Mid-American Conference.
