
Flashes Fall in First Game of Road Trip

DeLand, Fla. – The Kent State lacrosse team (1-11, 1-2 ASUN) dropped an ASUN Conference matchup to Stetson (2-8, 1-1 ASUN) by a final score of 17-7.
The Golden Flashes jumped on the scoreboard first with a first-minute goal by Abby Jones. Jones went on to score the first three goals of the game for the Flashes. Lluna Katz also recorded a hat trick for the Flashes, finishing with four goals.
Jones led the Flashes with eight draw controls, while Katz and Anna Woodhams each recorded a team-high five ground balls.
The Hatters went on a 5-0 run in the first half to push out to an 8-3 lead and went on to a 10-5 lead at the break.
After an early second-half goal by Katz, the Hatters used a 7-0 run to extend the lead and earn the victory. Shelby Lehmann (3g, 7a) led Stetson with 10 total points. Marina Rotella led the Hatters with four goals. Riley Reagan, Sarah Flatt and Erin Collier each tallied two goals.
Up Next
The Flashes will head to Jacksonville for a noon game on Sunday before returning home on April 11 to take on Kennesaw State. The Flashes will take on Howard in a rescheduled matchup on April 14 at Dix Stadium.
