KENT, Ohio – The Kent State Lacrosse team goes up against Akron this Saturday, 1 p.m. at Dix Stadium.
About the Flashes
The Golden Flashes (3-6) are coming off a one goal loss, 11-10, against Presbyterian College on Thursday, March 16 and a 18-13 loss against Lindenwood on Sunday, March 19. After a two week break from games, Kent State is looking to open Mid-American Conference contests with a rivalry victory this weekend.
In the last matchup, Jackie Wolford tied the program record for most single-game goals (7). Morgan Kubicki is ranked No. 1 in the MAC for assists (17).
Kent State is tied for first overall in the MAC. The team leads in save percentage (.476), ground balls (173), goals (103), assists (42), and points per game (145).
About the Zips
The Akron Zips (1-8) are traveling to Kent State after upsets against Wofford, 17-13, on Wednesday, March 21 and Radford, 14-3, on Saturday, March 25.
