
Flashes Set to Compete in Fighting Irish Classic

SOUTH BEND, IN…The Kent State men's golf team will be competing in its 3rd tournament of the year, as they travel to South Bend, Indiana to participate in the Fighting Irish Classic.
The 54 hole event will begin at 8:30 A.M. tomorrow morning, with two rounds taking place tomorrow and the final 18 occurring on Monday.
The Golden Flashes are involved in the classic for the fourth consecutive season. Jon Mills's team placed 4thback in 2021, with Chris Vandette finishing in the top 10 while Cade Breitenstine also snuck in the top 25 two years ago.

The Golden Flashes placed 8th out of 15 teams at the Windon Memorial, hosted by Northwestern University.
Chris Vandette recorded his first top ten finish of the season, tying for 9th and shooting seven under par.
Jordan Gilkison and Ben MacLean also finished in the top 30.
