
Flashes Travel to Myrtle Beach for General Jim Hackler Championship

Coming off one of their best team performances of the season, the Kent State men's golf team is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to compete in the General Jim Hackler Championship, hosted by Coastal Carolina University.
The 14 team event will stretch three days from Monday to Wednesday. The Flashes will bring six golfers to the event, with one competing as an individual. The five golfers competing towards the Golden Flashes team score will tee off from 8:00 A.M. to 8:36 A.M.
An event that Kent State has competed at for well over a decade, the Golden Flashes tied for 4th a year ago.

Last Time Out
Chris Vandette took home the individual title at the Dorado Beach Collegiate. Vandette shot 14 under par through 36 holes, which was the second lowest score through two rounds in Kent State men's golf history.
Bryce Reed and Jordan Gilkison also finished in the top 30. As a team, Kent State placed 3rd out of 17 teams.
