
Lacrosse Set for Road Contest at Robert Morris

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State lacrosse team is set for its final road contest of the 2025 regular season on Saturday at Robert Morris. Opening draw in Moon Township is set for noon.
ABOUT THE FLASHES
Kent State (6-9, 1-3) returned to Dix Stadium last Sunday for the team's penultimate home game of 2025, falling 15-8 to Eastern Michigan. Three Flashes scored multiple goals in the defeat, as two goals by junior midfielder Zayda Crumpton improved her team-leading season goal tally to 33. She also grabbed an assist against the Eagles to expand her team-high season assist total to 13. Junior attacker Lizzie Lundeen also netted two goals against Eastern Michigan; she sits second on the team with 29 goals this season. Junior attacker Riley Floyd was the third Golden Flash to score two goals in the previous outing, bolstering her season mark to 16 goals. Senior midfielder Megan Cook led the Flashes with two assists against Eastern Michigan, also recording a caused turnover and ground ball in the contest. Crumpton still leads the Flashes with 75 draw controls this season after recording seven against the Eagles. Despite 12 goals allowed in 52 minutes of action, sophomore goalkeeper Sydney Davis had nine saves against Eastern Michigan, bringing her season total to 96.
SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS
The Colonials enter Saturday's contest with a 5-9 overall record but boast a 3-1 MAC record to sit tied atop the conference with Akron. In their most recent contest last Saturday at Detroit Mercy, Robert Morris earned a 19-11 win. The Colonials' only conference defeat this season came on April 5 against Central Michigan, 11-10, in Moon Township. Freshman attacker Vivian LaMange leads Robert Morris with 27 assists this season, also adding 18 goals. Senior midfielder Jenna Irwin leads the Colonials with 34 goals and 61 draw controls, while freshman midfielder Mia Berthoff is second on the team in both goals and assists with 25 goals and 15 assists. Defensively, freshman defender Madison Prietz leads Robert Morris with 16 caused turnovers and 38 ground balls.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flashes are 1-8 in the all-time series against Robert Morris. Kent State's lone win over the Colonials came in the team's last trip to Moon Township, a 13-10 victory in 2023. In last season's contest between the teams, Robert Morris earned a thrilling double overtime 11-10 win over the Flashes at Dix Stadium.
