
Cross Country Wraps Up YSU Invitational

CANFIELD, Ohio — Six members of the Kent State cross country program competed at the YSU Invitational on Saturday.
Four Golden Flashes ran the women's 5K, with freshman Savanna Hershberger the first to cross the finish line with a time of 19:38 to place 19th. Sophomore Emerson Greene (20:01) finished 27th, freshman Aurora Streleckis (20:23) placed 31st and freshman Emily Sinton (20:42) took 35th.
In the men's 8K, freshman Carter Schilling led the way in 46th place with a time of 29:02. Sophomore Tommy O'Neill finished the course in 29:49 to finish 54th.
Kent State returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3, for the Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.
