Flashes Open Four Game Road Trip at RMU

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State lacrosse team (3-6, 2-2 MAC) will take on Robert Morris (8-2, 4-0 MAC) to begin a four-game road stretch in the Mid-American Conference.
The matchup between the Golden Flashes and Colonials will be the second matchup of the season, with RMU taking an 18-3 win in the conference's first ever women's lacrosse game.
Madison Rapier and Abby Jones are Kent State's star duo, leading the team in multiple statistical categories. Rapier (26g, 3a) ranks second in the MAC in goals per game (2.89) and third in the conference overall. Jones (20g, 6a) is tied for sixth in the conference in both goals and assists.
Megan Kozar coordinated the Flashes' offensive last game against Central Michigan, dishing out a career-high three assists in the loss. Graceyn Dean continues to dominate on the defensive side of the ball after only a handful of games at the position. She forced another three turnovers against CMU and currently ranks second in the MAC in caused turnovers per game (1.63).
Scouting Robert Morris
RMU's sister duo of Mackenzie Gandy (27g, 10a) and Melanie Gandy (14g, 19a) rank second and third in the conference in points, respectively.
The last time the two teams met, the Gandy sisters dished out eight assists total and each added a goal. Clio Kerr led the Colonials in scoring in that contest with four goals.
Robert Morris is the only remaining undefeated team in the MAC. They were picked second in the preseason poll but took care of Central Michigan, 12-7, who was the preseason conference favorite.
